WEST LYING LOW AFTER SWIFT OUTBURST

KANYE WEST's protege MR HUDSON has dismissed rumours the star fled to a retreat in India following his run-in with TAYLOR SWIFT at last month's (Sep09) MTV Video Music Awards.
West came in for heavy criticism after he stormed the stage at the event in New York, interrupting the country singer's acceptance speech and insisting her Best Female Video prize should have gone to Beyonce.
The Stronger hitmaker subsequently cancelled his joint tour with Lady Gaga and was rumoured to have escaped the media furore with a month-long trip to a secluded retreat in Pondicherry, India.
West's close pal Mr Hudson admits the the hip-hop star has been keeping a "low profile" since the event - but he's adamant West did not run away from his problems.
Hudson says, "My friend Kanye West hasn't gone crazy or entered rehab after the Taylor Swift MTV Awards debacle - I just think everything around him went crazy. I saw him a couple of weeks ago and he was keeping a low profile, which is sensible.
"He's been working so hard, touring, producing stuff for Jay-Z and Rihanna while also doing shoots for Louis Vuitton. He works 24 hours a day, but I'm not worried about him - he has the right people around him."
