WEST BREAKS CONCERT FOR DIANA'S 'NO SWEARING' POLICY
Rapper KANYE WEST broke the 'no swearing' policy at the Concert For Diana on Sunday (01Jul07), when he performed his hit single TOUCH THE SKY.
The hip-hop star dedicated the song to Diana but accidentally let slip during performance, breaking the unspoken rule which most artists - including rapper Pharrell Williams - had noted out of respect to the late British royal and the young princes, William and Harry.
West rapped, "Back when they thought pink polo's would hurt the Roc/Before Cam got the s**t to pop, the doors was closed..."
West's DJ A-Trak also let the backing track for Jesus Walks continue as the rapper brought his seven-minute set to an end, letting the word 'n**ger' repeat twice over the stadium's sound system before it was faded out.
