WEST ARRESTED ON VANDALISM CHARGES

Hip-hop star KANYE WEST has been arrested in Los Angeles on charges of felony vandalism.
West was taken into custody at the city's LAX airport on Thursday (11Sep08) after a photographer's camera was reportedly smashed to the ground during a heated confrontation.
According to celebrity website TMZ.com, the snapper was attempting to take pictures of the rapper at the international airport's American Airlines terminal when he was confronted by the star.
West's assistant allegedly responded during the ensuing struggle, grabbing a camera belonging to a videographer who began filming the incident as it broke out.
The assistant allegedly threw the video camera to the ground as West shouted, 'Give me that f**king tape!"
Both West and his assistant are reportedly being booked by police on the charges.
