WENTZ: 'DRUGS SAVED MY LIFE'

FALL OUT BOY star PETE WENTZ credits prescription drugs with saving his life - but is urging depressed youngsters not to meddle with them.
The bassist suffers from bipolar disorder - which leads to chronic mood swings - and in 2005 attempted to take his own life with an overdose.
But despite turning his life around with the aid of prescription medication, Wentz warns the younger generation not to rely on the drugs.
He says, "I think that medication has helped me at times in my life. I've needed to be on medication, it's saved my life. But it's definitely an over-medicated generation. Rather than having any kinds of conversations with anyone to solve our problems, we go and see what pill we can take to make it all go away."
