Tickets for the first of British rocker PAUL WELLER's three-night stint at New York's Irving Plaza were being sold by touts and scalpers for $500 (GBP256) outside the venue last night (29JAN07). Seats for the three shows became hot tickets when they sold out in record time back in December (06). Celebrity fans like SIENNA MILLER and JIMMY FALLON dashed to see Weller's first night after attending the nearby premiere of new movie FACTORY GIRL. Weller will be performing songs from three eras of his career at the shows - last night he played hits from his days with cult British trio THE JAM, tonight (30JAN07) he'll concentrate on his STYLE COUNCIL years and he'll end the run with tracks from his solo career.
