WELLER 'NOT PLEASED' WITH JAM REUNION
Rocker PAUL WELLER is upset the remaining members of THE JAM have rejoined to perform, insisting their reunion tarnishes the classic band's legacy.
Weller's former bandmates Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler reunited last year (07), forming new group From The Jam and touring the U.K. to mark the 25th anniversary since The Jam's final year together.
He says, "It doesn't please me (the other band members reuniting). How would it? It slightly spoils the legacy for me. I think it was great what we did at the time and I think that's where we should leave things really.
"Everyone's at it. Everyone's reforming. Even bands from the '90s, which wasn't that long ago, are reforming but I'm not into any of that, to be honest with you.
"I'm for the future and going forward. Nostalgia is big business for some weird reason but it can never be the same. How can it be?"
Weller is set to release a solo album, 22 Dreams, next month (08).
