WEILAND PLANS A QUICK TRIP TO JAIL

Troubled rocker SCOTT WEILAND will serve his nine-day prison sentence well ahead of the deadline he was given by a judge on Monday (28Apr08) - so he can tour with the newly-reformed STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, as planned.
The singer pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol with a prior conviction and ordered to serve 192 hours behind bars by 28 May (08).
But, with Stone Temple Pilots' reunion tour commitments set to start in Ohio on 17 May, Weiland is keen to be a free man by then.
The rocker's representatives confirm Weiland will be in and out of jail in time to commence the band's 65-date summer tour.
Meanwhile, in a message on his MySpace.com website, Weiland has revealed that, as well as planning to complete his first solo album in 10 years upon his release from jail, he is also hoping to pen an autobiography with writer David Ritz.
