WEAVER'S SCOTTISH ANCESTRY MIX-UP

Actress SIGOURNEY WEAVER travelled to Scotland to trace her heritage - but was left red-faced because her father had given her the wrong name to research.
The Alien star recently flew to the U.K. to find out more about her ancestry after discovering she was part Scottish.
But when she found what she thought was a castle belonging to her ancestors, her dad, TV producer Sylvester L. Weaver Jr., admitted he had gotten the family names mixed up.
She says, "My dad said we were part of the MCLoud clan, so I went to Scotland and found the MCLoud castle. I phoned him and there was a pause and he says, 'You know what, I think we're MCFarlane!'"
