WEAVER: 'I WON'T GO TO SPACE WITH BRANSON'

SIGOURNEY WEAVER has laughed off reports she is planning to splash out a staggering $100,000 (GBP52,000) to board SIR RICHARD BRANSON's Virgin Galactic space shuttle in 2008. The Hollywood star, who played ELLEN RIPLEY in the successful ALIEN movie saga, fears real space might not match her expectations - especially at such a high price. She says, "I actually read I was going to pay $100,000 to go on it. But I thought, if I'm invited, I'm invited. "I'm a big admirer of his, I love Virgin Atlantic, but I don't think I'm going to pay that kind of money for it. "I have been to space so many times in my imagination, will it live up to that?"
