WATTS: 'RONNIE IS ONE OF US'

THE ROLLING STONES drummer CHARLIE WATTS has appealed to the media to stop calling guitarist RONNIE WOODS "the new one", because he has been in the band for more than three decades. Former THE FACES star Woods joined the BROWN SUGAR hitmakers in 1975 following the departure of guitarist MICK TAYLOR - who replaced late rocker BRIAN JONES in 1969. And Watts wishes people would finally accept him as a true Rolling Stone: "He was always Ronnie to me, but he was always 'the new one' (to the media). "But it's three-quarters of our life he's been with us, isn't it? He lives under that cloud. If it is one, it's a very rosy cloud."
