WATSON'S ADMIRATION FOR PORTMAN
British actress EMMA WATSON looks up to NATALIE PORTMAN - because she managed to pursue a university education whilst starring in movies.
The Harry Potter star is keen to gain a degree and has applied to a number of colleges, both in the U.K. and America, to start her studies this year (09), while continuing her role in the wizard film franchise.
And the 18-year-old hopes to emulate Portman's academic success - she achieved a degree in psychology at Harvard College while she was working on the Star Wars films.
Watson tells Britain's Daily Express, "I actually think going to university will make me a better actress. Look at Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep - they all educated themselves. It's really important."
Streep won a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Drama at Vassar College, New York in 1971, while Foster earned a B.A. in literature and graduated from Yale University, Connecticut in 1985.
