WATSON FEARS TUMOUR RELAPSE
British opera star and brain tumour survivor RUSSELL WATSON will spend the rest of his life fearing a relapse of the deadly disease.
The singer has twice beaten a pituitary gland tumour that first appeared in 2005 and returned in 2007. Watson survived a life-threatening operation last year (07), but surgeons were unable to remove all the tumour, and he confesses the possibility of a second relapse haunts him.
He says, "I know that I'll never be able to just get on with my life again. It's always going to be there... there's always going to be that fear".
