WASHINGTON RECALLS HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART ON OPRAH

DENZEL WASHINGTON outed his high school sweetheart live on U.S. TV on Monday (26Nov07) when he recalled how he was smitten with his unspoken first love. The movie star was promoting new film The Great Debaters on chat show Oprah when he remembered the girl who first stole his heart. He recalled, "There was a girl named Deborah Hill, when I was in high school, and I just thought she was the prettiest girl in the world. "I used to run to where her next class was gonna be so I could just act like I was just there when she walked by. "She went out with the star football player... She doesn't even know; that's how in love I was, I never told her."
