WASHINGTON BLAMES DEMPSEY FOR ROW

ISAIAH WASHINGTON has blamed his former Grey's Anatomy co-star PATRICK DEMPSEY's poor time-keeping for the furious bust-up that cost him his job on the show. Washington was eventually fired from the hospital drama after he was accused of using a homophobic slur against gay castmember T.R. Knight. But the actor tells talk show host Larry King he used the word during a row with Dempsey after he become fed up with his constant lateness and confronted him. He claims Knight was never involved, and he never directed a gay slur at Knight. Washington says, "He became unhinged, sprayed spittle in my face. I'm asking him why is he screaming at me. ... He just becomes irate. "I said several bad words. "There's no way you're going to treat me like the B-word, the P-word or the F-word." He insisted the 'F-word" was not intended as a gay slur - but used to imply "somebody who is being weak".
