WASHINGTON AND GRAZER BUY DRUG LORD A HOME
DENZEL WASHINGTON and Hollywood producer BRIAN GRAZER have joined forces to buy a home for a former New York drug kingpin. The movie heavyweights were so impressed with wheelchair-bound Frank Lucas when he offered advice on the set of their new film American Gangster, they decided to treat him to a new house. Washington plays Lucas in the film. Grazer says, "He hung in with us and we decided to give Frank a little extra so he could have a place to live."
