WALSH'S BORROWED GEMS STOLEN

GIRLS ALOUD star KIMBERLEY WALSH is in shock after thieves stole $205,000 (£128,000) worth of gems she borrowed for an awards show last week (12Nov09).
The pop star was dripping in diamonds loaned to her by London's de Grisogono boutique when she picked up a prize at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year ceremony.
But the earrings, ring and bracelet are now missing after they were reportedly snatched from a courier motorcycle hired by Walsh's management to return the haul.
A police spokesperson says, "We can confirm officers from Barnet CID are investigating the theft of two parcels. They went missing whilst in transit from properties in north London to properties in central London. One parcel contained a quantity of jewellery."
It is believed the items were taken after the driver stopped at a gas station.
