WALSH SLAMS WASHINGTON FOR GOLDEN GLOBE 'ECLIPSE'

GREY'S ANATOMY star KATE WALSH has slammed co-star ISAIAH WASHINGTON's recent homophobic rant for "eclipsing" the show's Golden Globe win. Washington called castmate T.R. KNIGHT a "faggot" during an onset fight with co-star PATRICK DEMPSEY last year (06), and repeated the anti-gay slur at the Golden Globes in January (07). Grey's Anatomy was was named Best Television Drama series at the award ceremony, but Walsh admits Washington's behaviour overshadowed the win. She says, "It was definitely sad. It's annoying. And it eclipsed our Golden Globes win, which I was upset about." Network ABC this month (MAR07) announced plans for a Grey's Anatomy spin off, with Walsh's character DR ADDISON MONTGOMERY-SHEPHERD the focus of a two-hour pilot to be aired in May this year (07).
