NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK star DONNIE WAHLBERG offered his teenage son's metal band the chance to open for the group when they reform this year (08) - and they refused.
The 1990s boyband are back with a new album and a tour, and Wahlberg wanted his 15-year-old son Xavier to join him on the road.
But the teen didn't deem his dad's band cool enough: "He's in a death metal band, and he's told me that the reunion is cool - but it's pop, so he's going to stick to his thing. They don't even want to open for us."
