WAHLBERG STALLS RETIREMENT

MARK WAHLBERG has extended his career by five years - because he's enjoying his success as an actor too much.
After the movie star's latest film, Max Payne, debuted at the top of the U.S. box office on Sunday (19Oct08), Wahlberg admits he's reconsidering his plans to retire at 40.
The 37-year-old star says, "Maybe I'll retire at 45 now. We'll see.
"I do want to be able to take my kids to school and drag them to the golf course with me. I can't be working at the pace that I am for much longer."
And Wahlberg tells WENN that working on The Lovely Bones with moviemaker Peter Jackson has made him seriously think about directing movies.
He adds, "The experience working with Peter Jackson was like no other. I've always wanted to direct and I thought that, after working with many of the great directors, that I picked up a lot of things along the way.
"I don't think you could do what Peter Jackson could do and I would like to at least shoot for that level of ability one day.
"I don't think I'll ever get there but (the movie) was the most amazing experience of my career."
