WAGNER QUITS UNITED ARTISTS

LATEST: TOM CRUISE's production partner PAULA WAGNER has confirmed she is to leave United Artists (UA).
The pair stepped in to take over the film company, running it on behalf of MGM studios, in 2006 after the movie star fell out with Paramount Pictures, his home studio for many years.
But now Wagner has announced that she is to quit her post at the helm of UA to pursue projects independently - although she will retain her co-ownership of the firm. She will also continue to work on her films that are currently in production.
Wagner confirmed the news in a statement to E! Online: "I've truly relished working with my longtime partner Tom Cruise to revitalise United Artists, and I am proud of all that we've accomplished in the past two years, reinvigorating the brand and developing such a strong slate of films."
