VINCE NEIL UNDER ATTACK FROM FLORIDA NURSES

MOTLEY CRUE frontman VINCE NEIL has upset hospital staff in Florida by announcing he plans to dress busty waitresses at his new theme bar in sexy nurses outfits. The rocker felt the gimmick would give his new Palm Beach pad, Dr. Feelgood's Rock Bar, a boost - but real nurses are offended by the idea. According to newspaper the Palm Beach Post, one group of nurses is planning to picket the bar when it opens later this year (07). One activist, Deborah Copeland, who is a leading Palm Beach nurse, says, "This is everything that nursing is against. Portraying us as servers in an establishment that doesn't benefit anyone's health is outrageous." And Palm Beach Community College nursing Associate Professor Rebecca Pleasant adds, "Anytime someone smuts the image of the profession, it's demoralising. "There is a huge nursing shortage in the county, and being looked at as mindless sex objects won't help us recruit students." Copeland and Pleasant have joined forces in a bid to prompt West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel to intervene and persuade Neil and his business partners to rethink their waitress outfits.
