VILLAGE PEOPLE COP PLEADS NO CONTEST
THE VILLAGE PEOPLE policeman VICTOR WILLIS has entered a no contest plea to drug possession charges, and will remain in jail until he can be sentenced. The singer - part of the 1970s disco band's original line-up - was arrested in San Francisco in March (06) after police stopped his car and discovered cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He had been wanted since October 2005 when he failed to appear in court on other drugs charges. Willis, 54, will discover his fate on 1 September (06) when a judge will decide if he should go to prison or enter a residential drug treatment programme.
