VETERAN ROCKERS UNITE FOR ROCK 'N' ROLL FANTASY CAMP
British rocker SPENCER DAVIS, CREAM bassist JACK BRUCE and PROCOL HARUM singer GARY BROOKER have joined together to offer Britain's first rock 'n' roll fantasy camp.
For GBP9,000 ($17,550) rock fans can take a six-day course on how to become a rock star, which will include a recording session at London's famous Abbey Road studios and a gig at Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club.
Students will eat and drink with the rockers after days spent practising songwriting with Davis and learning to play bass with Bruce. ROGER DALTREY will also visit the camp if he can take a break from his tour commitments with THE WHO.
However, DAVID FISHOF, the businessman who devised the concept, warns potential students they shouldn't expect to party like a rock star, saying, "They are not here to throw TVs out of the hotel window. They have to reach a professional musical standard. They are going to be filmed and recorded at the gig."
