VENUS AND SERENA WIN PROMOTER BATTLE

Tennis superstar sisters SERENA and VENUS WILLIAMS have been cleared of violating a contract with two promoters by not appearing at an exhibition match in 2001. The promoters claim they lost millions of dollars when the siblings failed to play at the Battle of the Sexes tournament, in which the pair would face male opposition. But a jury has ruled their father RICHARD WILLIAMS was not entitled to represent them when he agreed to the deal. It's the second time the case has made it to court - after the original trial was annulled last year (05).
