VAUGHN: 'ACTORS ARE LIKE KIDS'

Director MATTHEW VAUGHAN has found the perfect formula for keeping actors happy - treat them like children. The LAYER CAKE film-maker, who is married to supermodel CLAUDIA SCHIFFER, admits his talent can be childish, so he responds to them like a father to keep them in their place. He says, "(It's) the same way I deal with my kids: treat them with respect, give them a kiss if they need one, or a little slap, and tell them you love them as you're doing it."
