VAN HALEN CANCEL REUNION TOUR?
VAN HALEN's U.S. tour has been cancelled because frontman EDDIE VAN HALEN is battling "issues", it has been claimed. The group cancelled two concerts in Virginia and Georgia late last month (Feb08) but rescheduled the dates for mid-March (08). No reason was given for the postponements. However, internet reports claim the remaining tour dates have now been pulled indefinitely. According to website TMZ.com, the cancellation has been blamed on guitarist Van Halen's poor performances, after he turned up for several gigs apparently intoxicated. The rockers - who reunited with original singer David Lee Roth last year (07) - are scheduled to play a series of gigs across America until 19 April (08), but sources claim all of the band's hotel reservations currently being cancelled. As WENN went to press, a representative for Van Halen was unavailable for comment.

Sort of sad Eddie can't refrain from alcohol, or overcome the temptation to
drink. It is probably best to postpone indefinately, until he can dry out again.
Dave can do some real good singing without Van Halen, although I and most prefer
him with Eddie et al. I think the best songs have to do with sex or love. How can
Dave help Eddie, if Dave is drinking, even if he can control his drinking? Hopefully
someone has got some good tapes of the performances so far.
