VAN DER BEEK DENIES HE'S RECORDING AN ALBUM

Former DAWSON'S CREEK star JAMES VAN DER BEEK has dismissed reports he's recording his debut album as a singer. Van Der Beek, who stars in the new series of U.S. TV show Ugly Betty, insists he has no plans to become a musician, although he insists he's a good enough singer. He says, "Someone brought it up to me when I was on the Ugly Betty set. I looked at them like they were crazy." The 30-year-old adds, "There was that episode of Dawson's (Creek), in which I got drunk and sang. I can sing. It's one of my deep, dark secrets."
