VAN DAMME CANCELS APPEARANCES FOR PUPPY
Movie hardman JEAN-CLAUDE VAN DAMME has reportedly cancelled promotional appearances for his new movie JCVD - so he can look after his sick puppy.
The actor is said to have recently adopted seven dogs from Bangkok, Thailand - and one of the pups is in a coma, according to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.
And the star has had to pull out of all promotional gigs for JCVD, a spoof documentary in which he plays himself, in order to remain in Thailand to look after the ill pooch.

I can't believe what a new leaf Van Damme is presenting... I mean is it
possible to believe all this about him turning down a press juncture to stay
home with some dogs...?
On another note, I was just thinking about another Van Damme movie,
Bloodsport... Actually, the movie that many critics stand by as his best
work...
Well, I just watched Bloodsport (1988) yesterday and think I gave this film
waaaay to much credit! JCVD tears Bloodsport to pieces!!! JCVD opens with the
craziest action sequence of any Van Damme film and then transcends expectations
by ending on an evocative and poignant monologue — which brings Van Damme fans
and critics to an entirely new level…
