V FESTIVAL SHUFFLES LINE-UP
V Festival organisers are busy trying to shuffle the line-up for this year's event after high-profile pulls-outs from Amy Winehouse, Bright Eyes and the Bravery.
After it was revealed that Mexican acoustic duo Roderigo Y Gabriela would be playing a mammoth four times over the weekend to replace Bright Eyes, the schedulers must now find a headline act to fill Winehouse's shoes.
V Festival kicks-off this Saturday, running simultaneously at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire.
According to the NME, it looks likely that the Happy Mondays will be moving from the JJB/Puma Arena to cover for Winehouse on the Channel 4 Stage.
But this means the 'triple gig' of Jarvis Cocker, Happy Mondays and Primal Scream is now also disrupted, and another act is required for the JJB/Puma Arena.
There are other large acts that could make the step-up, with Babyshambles, Kanye West and the Coral all capable of adopting a headline slot.
However, due to this summer's hectic festival season, many artists will be making a move to another event fairly quickly.
A spokeswoman for V Festival said that they were "going through the processes" and that the new line-up would be announced soon.
Over 100 artists are set to play this year's V Festival with acts including Kasabian, Iggy and the Stooges, the Killers, Primal Scream, the Kooks, the Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol.
