USHER'S MUM THRILLED WITH BABY GRANDSON

USHER's newborn son has helped heal the rift between himself and his mother JONETTA PATTON. Patton, who reportedly fell out with her son when he announced he was set to marry the mother of his child - stylist Tameka Foster, has embraced the couple's new baby, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday (26Nov07). A thrilled Patton tells America's People magazine, "I'm extremely excited and filled with joy about the birth of my grandson, Usher Raymond V. "He is beautiful, precious, healthy and such a blessing. I'm very happy for my son and his wife. God has truly blessed them with a special gift. This will be an amazing holiday season for all of us." In an official statement from the happy couple, Usher and Foster state, "We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son."
