USHER TAKES THE TWITTER LEAD FROM KUTCHER & MOORE

Twitter.com-mad couple ASHTON KUTCHER and DEMI MOORE have a new disciple - R&B superstar USHER.
The Hollywood stars have become as famous for their frequent updates on the social networking website as their movies, but they've never been able to get pal Usher to sign up - until now.
The Confessions hitmaker admits he was turned on to Twitter by Kutcher after making a cameo in his new movie 5 Killers.
Posting a set of candid photos of himself with Moore and Kutcher in between filming, Usher writes on his first blog, "Hello to the Twitter Nation... I said I wouldn't do this. I'm on the set. Ashton and Demi did it!! If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Here goes!!!"
Usher is proving to be a popular new member on Twitter - he claims he'd gained 429 followers within seconds of signing up on Monday (18May09) - and, by Wednesday (20May09), he already boasted more than 23,500 fans.
He has some way to go before he can compete with Kutcher, who sailed past the one million followers mark during a popularity contest with news network CNN last month (Apr09).
Usher insists he'll be using his Twitter.com account to debunk rumours, adding, "If anybody is wondering... All other 'Usher's' on Twitter are imposters (sic)..."
