USHER took a moment during the telecast of Sunday's (18Nov07) American Music Awards in Los Angeles to note the loss of pal KANYE WEST's mother. The R+B star asked audience members to remember the rapper as he mourns the tragic death of his mum. Usher said, "I'd like to take a moment to recognise the loss of Kanye West's mother. My heart, my prayers and all of our prayers go out to you Kanye, for the strength in this recovery."
