Brace yourself ladies – US R&B star USHER is planning a string of dates for which only women will be permitted entry.

The One Night Stand tour will support his album HERE I STAND – which the singer believes is well-suited to venues packed full of adoring women.

"There's only a few artists that can pull that off," he told the Associated Press.

"I feel like I've had such a connection with my audience. This album, I felt like, was definitely the type of one that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women?"

"The ladies like to see that masculine build," he added. "They question if I still got it."

Meanwhile, the love god is scheduled to perform at the opening of the NFL season in the US, which he is hoping will allow him to sing at the Superbowl next year.
