USHER BECOMES ATLANTA ARTS CENTRE BOARDMEMBER

R&B superstar USHER will shape the programming at a leading performing arts centre in his native Atlanta, Georgia after joining the board of trustees.
The Yeah! hitmaker was appointed as a boardmember for the Woodruff Arts Center earlier this week (begs18May09), becoming the only entertainer on the 79-strong panel.
And the singer can't wait to give his input on the variety of arts programmes on offer.
He says, "(I'm) so honoured to be invited. I first and foremost would like to give more young people, who wouldn’t otherwise have the means, the opportunity to experience art programming at the Woodruff Arts Center.
"I also hope to share new ideas that can combine art and service as powerful agents of change in Atlanta."
