UNDERWOOD'S 'PRINCESS' DRESS ON DISPLAY AT COUNTRY MUSEUM
The "princess" dress CARRIE UNDERWOOD wore to the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas is to go on display at Nashville, Tennessee's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
The singer admits she was overwhelmed by the Merlot silk taffeta dress which was created for her by Miami-based designer Rafael Cennamo.
The gown includes 120 yards (109.7 metres) of fabric and an eight-foot-long (2.4 metre) train.
Underwood wore the dress during her 5 April (09) performance of I Told You So at the ACM Awards, where she was later named Entertainer of The Year and Top Female Vocalist,.
She says, "It was an honour to wear such a beautiful dress during one of the most special nights of my life. I truly felt like a princess."
The item will be the highlight of a tribute to the American Idol winner at the Hall of Fame, which will run from 11 June (09) until the end of the year.
