UNDERWOOD TO TURN DETECTIVE NOVELS INTO NEW MOVIE FRANCHISE
SEX + THE CITY star BLAIR UNDERWOOD is to turn his first foray into novel writing into a series of new movies.
The sexy star has penned detective novel Casanegra - with writing partners Steve Barnes and Tananarive (corr) Due - and is now considering whether or not to play lead character, gigolo-turned-crime solver Tennyson Hardwicke, in the movie adaptation he'll direct.
The book is the first in a series of Hardwicke whodunnits, and actor Underwood hopes to turn every tome into a film as soon as they're completed.
He says, "Each book will hopefully come out once every summer... and then immediately, the vision was always, the book comes out and then we create a movie right away."
Underwood has already started writing the second book, which is set to be released next year (08).
