UNDERWOOD LIMPING AFTER RUNNING FALL

Country star CARRIE UNDERWOOD will be limping through her performance at the AMERICAN IDOL finale on Wednesday night (19May09) after injuring her leg in a fall.
The former Idol winner returned to the show to perform as part of the two-night finale and admits she almost didn't make it.
She explains, "I was running... I was about halfway through and I fell and this nice little lady was driving behind me... and she saw the incident and she was nice enough to pull over and roll down the window and say, 'Can I take you home.'
"I fought back the tears and she took me home... It looks ugly... but I don't think I hurt anything."
