Who is this Randy Jernigan anyway? If it is "unauthorized" it's trash as far as I am concerned. I have no doubt it is a pack of lies. I love and admire Marie for her strength and authenticity. Stand strong Marie - we love you!

this article in my opinion is just total hogwash. I don't believe for 1 minute that Marie attempted suicide. Nor do I believe she lost her virginity at 17 to Andy Gibb. As far as Marie having a eatting disorder as a teen, well, that could be true. I noticed as a teen myself how every season of the Donny and Marie show, that Marie was getting thinner and thinner. She looked anorexic by last season. But I have seen Marie on talk shows saying the Higher up's from her show were constantly on her back about losing weight and never being thin enough and if she didnt lose more weight the show would be cancelled. Thats a heavy burden to place on a teenage girl. I don't understand why these so called authors are hell bent on taking celebrity reputations and destroying them. Marie has always been referred to as America's sweetheart. The perfect image of the sweet all american, girl next door. She was my role model growing up and I resent her memory being trashed. WHen you trash a wonderful memory for millions of people just to make a buck, well its just plain wrong. I refuse to believe it. Marie is a Mormon, a devote Mormon. I don't think her parents or the church or her upbringing would have allowed such things to happen to her. I won't be buying this book
