UMA THURMAN TELLS STALKER TRIAL JURY SHE WAS "FREAKED OUT"

Uma Thurman has revealed she feared for her life after an accused stalker plagued her and her family for three years.

Jack Jordan, 37, is accused of stalking and aggravated harassment after he reportedly sent the actress threatening letters and emails and attempted to break into her trailer on a film shoot.

He is also said to have sent her a note bearing the line "My hands should be on your body at all times" and claimed he and the actress were "pre-destined" to be together.

The Kill Bill star told the jury at Manhattan Supreme Court that Jordan had threatened to commit suicide unless he was allowed to see her, delivering a card which featured a picture of an open grave and a man standing astride a razor blade.

"I was just completely disturbed," she said. "I didn't know what to do."

And she explained that when she contacted her parents to alert them of the disturbing card, her father revealed Jordan had called Thurman's mother Nena at her home as well as sending emails to Mr Thurman.

"I felt a stone drop in my stomach. The idea that this had a history made it even more terrifying," she said.

Thurman explained she had become increasingly fearful of Jordan after hearing he had turned up at the home in Greenwich Village, New York where she lives with her two children.

"I felt afraid. I felt afraid now for my life," she said.

"I realised this was a very dangerous situation. I was frightened for the lives of my children and myself.

"It was clear we were in serious danger and we needed professional help."

Thurman saw Jordan, who denies the charges, in the flesh for the first time on Thursday though she refused to look at the accused.

He faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
