'UK ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME PLANNED'
A new pop music exhibition is being planned for London's O2 Arena, according to new reports.
NME magazine has stated that a permanent UK Rock and Roll Hall of Fame could be included.
Potential plans include honouring inductees by having holograms of them appear when visitors press buttons.
The 'Popworld' exhibition is set to include pop memorabilia from stars such as DAVID BOWIE and the ARCTIC MONKEYS.
It will trace the evolution of popular music from the second world war to the present day.
Visitors will also be able to download classic tracks onto their iPods and mobile phones or even record their own songs in a mini studio.
Speaking to the Times, Jessica Koravos, managing director of AEG live, which will open the attraction next year, said: "This will cement the O2 as the headquarters of music in Britain."
In the US, artists are inducted to the Rock and Roll hall of fame each year, but have to have been in the business for 25 years.
British star MADONNA is to be included this year.
