UGLY BETTY + PAN'S LABYRINTH TOP IMAGEN AWARDS

UGLY BETTY and PAN'S LABYRINTH were the big winners the 22nd annual Imagen Awards on Saturday (28Jul07). Ugly Betty star America Ferrera left the Los Angeles event, which honours TV shows and movies by and about Hispanics, with the Best Actress and the Creative Achievement awards. Ferrera's co-star Ana Ortiz won Best Supporting Actress for her role in the television hit, which took home Best Prime-Time Series. Acclaimed fantasy film Pan's Labyrinth won three awards, including Best Picture, while Mel Gibson's Mayan history epic Apocalypto picked up Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress for Gerardo Teracena and Dalia Hernandez respectively.
