U2 ISSUE WARNING OVER BOGUS CONCERT TICKETS
Rockers U2 have warned fans to beware of counterfeit tickets purporting to be for an upcoming series of concerts - because the band has no current plans to play any live shows.
The Beautiful Day hitmakers have issued a statement insisting that reports they are to tour soon are "mistaken".
And the Irish group has advised devotees to check any advertised dates with U2's official website - to make sure they are for real.
In a statement issued on Monday (04Aug08), the band says, "Just a note to correct reports that tickets are becoming available for planned U2 shows. The reports are mistaken.
"There are no tour dates for the band at the moment, so please don't buy tickets for U2 shows you see advertised."
U2 are currently working on their new album, which is expected to be released this year (08).
