TYSON RELEASED AFTER AIRPORT SCUFFLE
Former boxer MIKE TYSON and the photographer he fought with at Los Angeles International airport have been booked and released by police after their Wednesday afternoon (11Nov09) scuffle.
Both men made citizen's arrests against each other. Tyson was taken to a police station, while the snapper was admitted to hospital for treatment to a forehead injury.
Sgt. Jim Holcomb of the Los Angeles Airport Police says, "It is alleged that Mr. Tyson struck the individual one time."
Both men face identical misdemeanour battery charges.
Reports suggest Tyson was at the airport with his wife and 10-month-old child. They were bound for Las Vegas.
A spokeswoman for the former boxer insists Tyson acted in self-defence.
