TV HOST LAUER NEEDS SURGERY AFTER BIKE ACCIDENT

U.S. TV presenter MATT LAUER faces surgery after separating his shoulder in a bicycle accident.
The Today show co-host was thrown from his bike in Spain on Monday (23Mar09) after braking to avoid a deer, which jumped out in front of him.
His publicist insists Lauer is "doing well" in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
