GREY'S ANATOMY hunk ERIC DANE came to the rescue of an injured Chihuahua when the little dog's owner tossed her from a moving car.
The pooch suffered a broken leg and was limping around Los Angeles' trendy Larchmont shopping district when Dane spotted her.
He explains, "This girl told me someone had thrown the dog out of a moving car, so I took it. I took it on vacation and nursed it back to health. The dog's fine. It's name is Nelly.
"My wife (Rebecca Gayheart) thought I was the sweetest guy in the world for taking that dog, until I told her to take care of the dog."
