TURNER WELLS UP AT READING

ARCTIC MONKEYS frontman ALEX TURNER was overcome with emotion during the band's headline slot at the U.K.'s Reading Festival on Saturday (29Aug09), choking back tears during the show.
The Grammy-nominated group closed the second night of the event, and Turner admitted the occasion got to him.
During their final song, Fluorescent Adolescent, his voice faltered midway and he paused to tell the 80,000-strong crowd, "See, I'm getting all choked. Goodbyes - I hate them."
Turner and his bandmates were so reluctant to leave the stage, they stayed on and played a further two songs.
