TURNER: 'STRIPPING ONSTAGE INSPIRED WOMEN'

Actress KATHLEEN TURNER was proud to bare all onstage in her late 40s - because she inspired middle-aged women to love their bodies. Turner infamously stripped off to play seductress Mrs. Robinson in London and New York productions of The Graduate - and the star was surprised to receive letters from women thanking her for giving them the courage to flaunt their own figures. Turner says, "When I did it (The Graduate) on Broadway, I was 48. Certainly, in this country (U.S.), that's considered quite over the hill and past any sexual attraction. "But I got this wonderful note from a woman saying that she had not undressed in front of her husband in 10 years and she was going to do it tonight."
