TROYER'S BIG BROTHER SCARED OFF RIVALS

Pint-sized AUSTIN POWERS star VERNE TROYER was left alone by school bullies - because his enormous older brother looked after him in the playground.
The Mini-Me actor - currently starring in U.K. reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother - measures just two feet, eight inches (0.8 meters) but was a big hit with classmates for his jokey nature.
And even troublemakers at the school in Centreville, Michigan steered clear of picking on him - for fear of a beating from Troyer's sport-loving brother Davon.
Candice Bickle Swanwick, a former school pal of Troyer's, says: "Davon was on the football team and there were some big players on it - put it this way, no one ever messed with Verne.
"Still, no one did him any special favours because of his size. He was just Verne and we all loved him."
