TRITT TAKES LEGAL ACTION AGAINST RECORD LABEL
Country star TRAVIS TRITT is suing his record label and its president for breach of contract and fraud. Tritt accuses Category 5 Records, on which he released his most recent album The Storm earlier this year (07), and its boss Ray Termini, of incompetence and denying him the complete creative control he was promised. In legal papers filed in Nashville, Tennessee, Tritt also accuses Termini of exaggerating Category 5 Records' financial resources and its ability to honour its financial commitments, and of not paying him money for royalties and promotional travel. Tritt, who signed a five-year deal with the record label in 2006, is seeking $10 million (GBP5 million) in damages. Other artists on Category 5 Records' roster include George Jones and Sammy Kershaw.

I have known Ray Termini for over twenty years, and the man is completely void
of character and integrity. He has never been a genuine and nice human being,
and has insulted and diminished many a musician in his tenure in CT. Greed and
undeserving success has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass, and this
has definately come home to roost.
Not a good man in any way, and what comes around goes around.
