TOWNSHEND'S GIRL SELLS LAST GUITAR HE SMASHED

PETE TOWNSHEND's girlfriend RACHEL FULLER is auctioning off the last guitar the rocker smashed onstage to fund charities. The classically-trained pianist is giving THE WHO fans the chance to own the splintered guitar her beau smashed during a concert in Yokohama, Japan in 2004 on her radio show IN THE ATTIC. She says, "I'm selling $10 lottery tickets. It's absolutely insane but someone offered me a million dollars for it (guitar). "It's just sitting in a glass case. The money will go to charities like the Teenage Cancer Trust, which Pete is very involved with, and hopefully to victims of Hurricane Katrina."
